Many times over the past two years, Mary
Beth Palo has wondered whether or not to continue producing
videos. Running a
business was not something she ever aspired to. At times, the
demands inherent to pursuing her mission of improving the treatment
options for disabled children have been overwhelming. That being
said, the heartfelt show of gratitude on the parts of parents of
children with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental
disorders and speech delays, serves as a constant reminder of how
important this 'treatment idea' really is to so many people.
In fact, to Mary Beth's own
astonishment, has
captured the interest of many professionals who work with or
research disabled children. One such professional is Dr. Vanetta
LaRosa, Ph.D. BCBA.
Under the supervision of Dr. LaRosa,
a multi-baseline study is in process. The study is one of the most
comprehensive of its kind to date due to the large number of
impacted skills to be identified and tracked. It is also unique
because of the vastly different functioning levels to begin with of
the children who are participating in the trial.
We look forward to learning all that
we can from this study in order to continually raise our own bar in
terms of how to best empower the children our products serve.
We expect the findings to be released
around July 2007. We will keep you posted!
